When I first started making these boards, I called them cutting boards. I don’t know if anyone that bought one actually used it as a cutting board. It’s kind of ridiculous to call them cutting boards, but the reason I did is because I have the self-worth of an unpolished doorknob and never believed anyone would buy something from me with the label ‘art’. I still don’t see these as art, but I cannot call them cutting boards anymore. Mostly because they’re a bit too thin and a bit too delicate for repeated washings and the abuse that comes with chopping up food and vegetables. Does that mean you can’t use it as a cutting board? Of course not, use it as a cutting board, use it to spank your partners ass, use it as firewood. You can do whatever the fuck you want with it but, to me, these are now decorative art pieces.
This board isn't a landscape. It started as one but after weaving the first few layers, I turned it sideways and realized it was done. It just worked and who was I to mess with it at that point. This board is made of Red Zebrawood, Walnut, Sapele, and Utile. It measures 11 x 17 x .625
